Transforming Leadership through Organizing

The IAF Northwest and its affiliated Alliances believe that civil sector institutions are the cornerstones of healthy communities and vibrant democratic societies.

We work closely with leaders of religious congregations, labor unions, and civic and education associations who are interested in revitalizing their institutions through organizing arts and practices.

We help leaders design and implement meaningful, long-lasting change within their institutions—increasing membership participation, reinvigorating efforts to advance their missions and equipping them to be effective players in the larger public arena.  This work has been consistently growing since the mid 1990's when successful efforts to build bridges within a sharply divided parish produced spectacular results.

Our leadership-building effort is accomplished in part through leadership conferences and trainings.
