The IAF Northwest and its affiliated Alliances – Spokane Alliance, Sound Alliance (greater Seattle-Tacoma), Metropolitan Alliance for Common Good (greater Portland), Greater Edmonton Alliance (Alberta) and Sydney Alliance (Australia) – have effectively demonstrated the powerful synergy that arises from combining environmental initiatives with job creation strategies.

The history of Washington's SB 5649, a groundbreaking bill championed by Sound Alliance members, which will generate living-wage green jobs, energy retrofits and savings, and help to reduce carbon emissions.
