July, 2012. In December, 2011, the Metro Organizing Team authorized the formation of four new action teams, including “Local Economy”, which launched in June, 2012. The group has met two times.

January 2012. On December 1, 2011, MACG’s governing board – the Metro Organizing Team – met to discuss MACG’s direction for 2012. The Team decided to authorize four new action teams to add to the three already in place.
Expanding the New Conversation Around Food
July, 2011. Why is food, in particular healthy food, so expensive? Why is it that the most vulnerable in our midst eat so poorly? Why is there so much waste in our food systems today?In the past several months, leaders from MACG institutions and allies have begun massing: 6 leaders in May, 15 in June, and 30 in July to dare to ask these questions and more. MACG part of IAF NW Education Issues Exploration
July, 2011. The IAF Northwest Board has recently identified Education – particularly the challenge of improving opportunities for the kids who are not making it in our current system – as a priority for further research and development. MACG leaders are taking part in a shared work group exploring this issue this summer.
