Welcome to the Sound Alliance!
Welcome! We, the Sound Alliance, are a diverse group of resourceful, passionate people from across the Puget Sound area – united through our religious, education, labor and community organizations – who are seeking the best of ourselves and our communities.
The Sound Alliance was founded in 2008 to create opportunities for people to grow, connect and act powerfully and creatively to bring about practical solutions to the challenges facing our families and communities.
December, 2016 -- The Federal Way Day Center is now open, thanks to organizing by Sound Alliance leaders and allies over the last 3+ years. In addition, Federal Way City Council recently approved $75,000 per year for the next several years to support the Center, an increase of $25,000 per year over the first two years of funding.
October, 2016 -- The Spokane and Sound Alliance recently hosted several successful local assemblies with legislative candidates to move our statewide and local campaigns forward. The October 15 statewide assembly is cancelled.
Come join us for an Action Assembly in the Kent area! Out meeting agenda will include sharing stories of vital services that are funded by our state's budget and revenue system, asking Senator Joe Fain to meet with us to discuss options that will meet our community's needs, and talking with school board members about our vision for Kent schools.
Can diverse organizations work together? Can they find common ground? Will their members support each other? Come find out at the Sound Alliance Northeast Seattle Action Assembly. The agenda will include meeting with State legislators from the 46th district about changing our state's budget and revenue system to sustain critical services, and meeting with Seattle school board members to discuss increasing physical education time.
