Volunteer Opportunities with the Sound Alliance
Could you or someone you know be the person we are looking for?
Volunteers help the Sound Alliance become more efficient and achieve its mission of organizing power for the common good.
Please contact us if you are interested and would like to find out more.
The Sound Alliance is focused on becoming more efficient with our communications through email. In order to do this we're looking for a volunteer or two who would be willing to do data entry from the sign-in sheets at many of our meetings.
Can be done at the Sound Alliance office or from the comfort of your home. We will train you if needed. The average time commitment would be one hour a week.
Reflection Group Leaders and Trainers
Take your leadership to the next level! The Sound Alliance holds its 12-Hour Leadership Institute for Public Life training throughout the year. Reflection Group Leaders play a vital role in the training by helping to facilitate table conversations and also by helping with logistics. This is an ideal opportunity for leaders who have already attended the leadership institute themselves but would like to think more deeply about the material presented and how it connects to their own stories and institutional context.
Reflection Group Leaders attend a prep session before training to think through the agenda and the discussion questions and then attend both training sessions.
The Alliance is also seeking leaders who have some experience in Alliance campaigns to teach different sections of the leadership institute.
Are you a shutterbug? In this age of "pics or it didn't happen", Sound Alliance could use some photographers to take quality photos of our events. Commitment would be only to come to the event, and then send our Communications Director your best shots afterwards! We are interested in overall shots of the event, plus close-ups of details and participants. Please have your own equipment.
